Research Project I and Research Project II are a two-semester research project carried out in the final two semesters of the students’ M.Sc. programme. Students will be exposed to knowledge and skill of conducting a research project, where advanced techniques and knowledge in research methodology, experimental design and statistical analysis application will be provided. In addition, students will also learn soft skills, such as analytical and critical thinking, communication, writing, presentation and research management skill. In Research Project II,  students will have a chosen research project supervised by a lecturer or a committee of lecturers from the previous Research Project I (IB6326). Student is required to do a progress presentation before submitting the dissertation for examination. Student will need to write a scientific dissertation, which is composed of Introduction (Chapter 1), Literature Review (Chapter 2), Methodology (Chapter 3), Results (Chapter 4), Discussion (Chapter 5), and Conclusion (Chapter 6). Student will need to sit for a viva-voce session to defend his/her dissertation. A finalized hard-bound dissertation will be produced when student has passed the viva-voce session.
